Hey Warrior Nation,
It’s been awhile since we’ve posted. We’re deep in the trenches of executing our final races of the 2015 season and gearing up for the Warrior Dash World Championship, coming up on Saturday, October 10th.
We are stoked for our second Warrior Dash World Championship and third consecutive event at Milky Way Farm in Pulaski, Tennessee. One of the coolest aspects of the event’s location (aside from the fact that it’s the former property of Frank C. Mars, founder of the Mar-O-Bar Company) is its proximity to both Nashville and Memphis.
Memphis is the home of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In case you’re new to Warrior Nation, Warrior Dash and its parent company, Red Frog Events, is a national charity partner of St. Jude – and a lot has been going on behind the scenes of Warrior Dash.
In 2013, we committed to raising $25 million towards the opening of the St. Jude Red Frog Events Proton Therapy Center on the hospital’s campus in Memphis. The proton radiation therapy (PRT) center will be the first in the world dedicated solely to children, designed specifically to meet the needs of young patients.
On October 10th, at Warrior Dash Tennessee and the culminating Warrior Dash World Championship, our top fundraising team will present the 2015 fundraising check to the St. Jude team on stage. Since 2013, Warriors have raised over $12 million. We are nearly halfway to our goal!
If you’re interested in contributing as a St. Jude Warrior, check out the St. Jude portion of the Warrior Dash page or reach out to us for more information. You can simply donate what feels right during registration, run during a 10:00 am St. Jude wave for a $10 donation fee, or sign up as a St. Jude Warrior and raise $300 to gain access to the VIP St. Jude tent during the event.
Lastly, September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Click here to learn how to #ShowYourGold.
See you on the Battleground,
